Finally someone is making sense. I hate it when the linix shell requires me to learn kernel commands just to calculate the average postal code for all my friends.

Nix, what you say about Minix is true as it stands but a little historical background is in order. Minix is, in fact the combination of the best of two earlier operating systems, C\PM and Fortran.

The design philosophy was to combine all the disparate scattered files that were scattered in an ad-hoc fashion in earlier OS’s and combine them into one kernel. This would facilitate ease of shipping.

The origin of the name was a combination of the mascots symbloising the respective OS’s, Minnie Mouse for CP\M and Asterix for Fortran. Hence Mi-Nix.

The iconic image that emerged became the inspiration for Marvin the Angry Alien and indeed he has much to be angry about seeing as how the ‘Linux’ is such a blatant rip off of Minix and Windows. Ever notice that the ‘Linux’ mascot is a peng-Win. A barely concealed reference to said origin.

SQL was indeed the brainchild of Bill Gates, though he did not, as legend states, write all the code in one night. It took him two weeks.

SQL was designed from the start to be a GUI application. In fact SQL is short for SQuirreL - a specially customised mouse with a question mark button for making queries.

Windows Vista Ultimate is aptly named. It is truly the most ultimate OS and worth every cent. I would not trust anything else but Windows, especially in safety critical operations such as air traffic control.

I am outraged that my safety may be compromised just to save a few dollars by these ‘Linux’ sharewares fanboys.

Can you quote a Server configuration? I believe it can be adjusted between $1000 to $1500 for maintaining a website just as google?
I wanted a choice between My server operating systems should I use Internet Explorer 8 beta or Internet Explorer 7 the final version?

Linux a kernel - Hah!! Hitler was a kernel and so is Gafdai. See where it got them. Talk about promoting Linux.

Linux is in fact a kind of co-processor like the Intel 8087. It is entirely dependent on te Windows API for word processing and the internets functionality.

RMS - what kind of name is that? Root mean square - i suppose i’m supposed to imply from that that you have some technical knowledge - Hah!!

Here is a list of the OS’s used on the top 500 super computers around the world. out of those 500, 381 are running some form of linux. And referring to a later post of yours, Linux needs nothing from microsoft at all to run, nor does Apple’s Mac OS X, or any of the BSDs. I can’t fathom where you got this ridiculous idea, but it is just completely false, and i hope you understand why you have become the laughing stock of the internet.

Your love of Vista (or XP pond edition as we refer to it here) is just pathetic.

Humourous as always. Apparently Jerry Lee Cooper doesn’t know the difference between “shareware” and “freeware” and as always, loves to judge software package he clearly has no experience using and/or isn’t related to Microsoft. Also, I’m pretty sure Knud van Eeden, invented SQL and not Bill Gates *lauighs*
