Heya,

Thought you might like to know that this is *not* the same jerryleecooper. Their first posts in the forum that this post is taken from clearly shows that they took the name out of deference to the *real* one. http://www.osdev.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=102943#102943

"Hello, I hope I didn't offensed anyone by choosing this name as my username. I wanted a good name. That's it, jerryleecooper, but I will not be stupid like this man. :o I just want to make an operating system, not that linux thing that need windows to run ;-)"

I can’t believe what this guy is saying. It is an utter disgrace to the computer world. First off, he can’t spell worth shit. It’s unbelievable. Second, nearly every point he is making (or trying to make) is completely incorrect. Mr. Cooper, Mac OS and Linux don’t run in conjunction (that’s a big word, you understand that?) with any Windows “drivers or services” as you state so often. Mac and Linux run on an entirely free and open-source kernel that is much more secure and more stable than the Windows NT kernel will ever hope to achieve. The Linux and Mac community are growing on average 3 times faster than all of Microsoft (read some articles on the technology market and you will see for yourself). Internet Explorer only has about 65% of the internet market share. The rest of which belongs to the (free, open-source, non-Microsoft) browsers Mozilla Firefox and Apple’s Safari.

You need to do your homework (and learn to spell) before opening your mouth ever again. You are a disgrace to the entire industry Mr. Cooper.

I'd like to think he's employed by Microsoft. They could leave him next to the vending machine to forever try to enter his password, wondering why it won't work, to finally conclude that the machine has no Windows on it.

It'll either spur the employees on to greater things, or lead to vending machines running Windows so he can get his drink and just leave.

I really think this blog is some kind of reverse-psychology pro-linux campaign. It attracts attention to Linux after all, not to M$.
